MyAlpaca – 2-Year Warranty on Alpaca Wool Duvets

§ 1. Warranty period and scope

1. The terms used in this warranty card mean the following:

Guarantor – MyAlpaca Sp. z o.o., ul. Pużaka 18, 38-400 Krosno, registered in the register of entrepreneurs maintained by the District Court in Rzeszów, XII Commercial Division of the National Court Register under KRS number: 0000524208, VAT ID (NIP): PL6842639013, REGON: 181151572.

Seller – any authorised distributor of My Alpaca duvets or the Guarantor/My Alpaca online store if the Product was purchased directly from the Guarantor.

Product – a duvet filled with alpaca wool.

Buyer – a natural person purchasing the Product for purposes not related to their professional or business activity.

2. This warranty applies to the Product in the form of a duvet filled with alpaca wool.

3. The warranty is granted for a period of 2 years, counted from the date of sale/delivery of the Product to the Buyer.

4. The warranty is valid within the territory of the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.

5. The Guarantor declares that this warranty on the sold Product does not exclude, limit, or suspend the Buyer’s rights arising from applicable consumer protection laws in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, including rights relating to the non-conformity of the Product with the contract.

§ 2. Warranty conditions

1. The warranty covers:

a. the maintenance of the declared thermal regulation properties of the alpaca fibre filling the Product;

b. the quality and durability of the Product’s hand quilting and stitching.

2. To submit a valid claim under this warranty, the Buyer must:

a. present proof of purchase issued by the Seller and the warranty card signed by the Seller;

b. follow the Product care and usage instructions provided on the label, as detailed in point 4 below.

3. Product usage instructions:

a. It is recommended to use the duvet with a cover, preferably made of natural fabric, and to change the cover regularly.

b. The duvet should be aired regularly outdoors, especially on hot, dry, windy days or in frost.

c. If necessary, gentle dry cleaning and low-temperature drying (cold) are recommended, as with woollen products (sheep’s wool, cashmere, alpaca).

d. Spot cleaning with cold water and drying flat or hung up is allowed.

4. The warranty includes free repair of the Product. If repair is not possible, the claim will be resolved through replacement with a new Product. In such cases, the warranty period restarts from the date the defect-free Product is delivered or returned after repair.

§ 3. Warranty exclusions

The warranty does not cover deterioration of the Product caused by normal wear and tear, nor situations where deterioration results from:

a. mechanical damage to the Product;

b. damage caused by improper use, storage, or care of the Product, or use/storage in unsuitable conditions (e.g., excessive humidity).

§ 4. Claim procedure

1. In the event of a defect, the Buyer must immediately notify the Seller in writing with a detailed description of the defect and the Buyer’s claim. If the Seller has ceased operations, the Buyer shall report the defect directly to the Guarantor.

2. The Guarantor shall notify the Seller or Buyer in writing (by email) of acceptance or rejection of the claim and the subsequent procedure within 14 days of receiving the claim.

3. To provide the Guarantor with sufficient information to properly assess the reported defect, the Seller or Buyer should provide, if possible, photos clearly showing the defect.


The defective Product will be collected by courier from the Seller/Buyer immediately after the claim is received. The Product should be clean, dry, and packaged to prevent damage during transport. Transport costs are borne by the Guarantor.

4. If the defect is irreparable, economically unreasonable to repair, or repair could reduce the Product’s quality, the warranty obligation will be fulfilled by replacing the Product with a new, defect-free Product of the same type.

5. If the claim is found valid, repair or replacement of the Product will be carried out within 14 days from the date the defective Product is returned to the Guarantor. The warranty period will be extended by the duration of the repair.
