d. Flammability - alpaca wool is one of the least flammable natural fibres.
Wool is naturally flame resistant, making it an excellent choice for the home. The properties of wool make it safer in the event of a fire, as wool has a very high ignition temperature of 570-600°C. In addition, a large amount of oxygen is needed to burn wool due to the high nitrogen and water content in wool. As a result, wool is more difficult to ignite and burns at a lower flame speed than other unprocessed natural fibres such as cotton, linen and silk. In particular, studies show that alpaca wool is one of the least flammable natural fibres. In laboratory tests, it has shown a lower heat release rate and better self-extinguishing properties than sheep wool.
e. Safety warnings and precautions
Suffocation hazard: MyAlpaca duvets should not be used in cots for children under 12 months of age.
Do not use near open flames, fire sources or high temperatures.
Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture.
e. Safe disposal

Name: MyAlpaca pillow filled with alpaca wool
Compliance with EU regulations
The product meets the requirements of EU Regulation 2023/988 (GPSR).
Manufacturer: My Alpaca Sp. z o.o. ul. Pużaka 18, 38-400 Krosno, Poland
Intended use
Use MyAlpaca pillows to support your head while you sleep. Your preferred sleeping position is a key factor in choosing the best pillow for both body alignment and comfort.
a. If you sleep on your back (back sleeper), we recommend using a soft / low or medium pillow with a thinner profile. We also recommend placing a second pillow under your knees to further alleviate the strain on your back (these tend to flatten the lumbar curve, relieving pressure on your spine).
b. If you sleep on your side (side sleeper), we recommend using a medium or firm / high pillow with a thicker profile to adequately support your head and neck (so your spine maintains a straight and natural horizontal line), and also bending your knees and placing a second pillow between them (this keeps your spine in a neutral position and reduces pressure on it).
c. If you sleep on your stomach (stomach sleeper), we recommend using a soft / low pillow or no pillow at all. If you do use a pillow, it should be relatively flat so that your head and neck aren’t under too much strain. In this position, it is often best to place a second relatively flat pillow under your stomach or pelvis to help your lower back maintain its natural alignment.
d. If you change positions frequently during sleep (combination sleeper), we recommend using a medium pillow that allows you to sleep on your back and side. This should allow you to change positions during sleep while providing adequate head and neck support.
The product is suitable for the elderly and children, under supervision.
Please note that MyAlpaca pillows are filled with alpaca wool and are firmer than down pillows. The standard MyAlpaca pillow is MEDIUM height and provides good head and neck support. HIGH/FIRM and SOFT/LOW pillows are also available to order.
It is recommended that MyAlpaca pillows be covered in pillow cases made of natural fibres such as cotton, linen or silk.
