Linen is an ideal fabric for bedding, especially for covering a duvet filled with alpaca fiber. Natural linen bedding, like alpaca fiber, has thermoregulatory properties, gently cooling the skin in summer and pleasantly enveloping and warming in winter. Just like alpaca fleece, linen is the perfect fabric for bedding, especially as a cover for alpaca-filled duvets. It boasts excellent thermoregulatory properties — locking in warmth during winter and gently cooling the skin in summer by allowing heat to escape. Naturally breathable and moisture-resistant, linen ensures a comfortable night’s sleep year-round. Our collection features the finest European stonewashed linen, known for its durability and soft, breathable feel. Choose your ideal size and colour in our online store.
Linen duvet covers with ties
The linen duvet covers in our MyAlpaca LOVES LINEN collection feature cotton ties sewn on the inside. These can be fastened to the loops sewn into the edging of our duvets, keeping the corners securely in place. With our linen bedding, you never have to worry about your duvet shifting inside the cover. Simple.
How to care for linen bedding?
Our linen bedding can be machine-washed at 40°C. For best results, wash colours separately, inside-out, and avoid bleach. You may tumble-dry on a low temperature, though we recommend air-drying whenever possible. On a fine day, line-drying outdoors will give the linen a fresh, natural scent.
To preserve the softness and natural qualities of linen, avoid washing it together with synthetic fabrics — microscopic fibres from synthetics can cling to the linen and alter its feel.
