Cotton is one of the oldest and most cherished bedding fabrics in the world. Soft, breathable, gentle on the skin — and available from us in two very different expressions, each with its own character, feel and mood.
MyAlpaca LOVES COTTON percale is pure, white and classic — a plain-weave fabric, densely woven, smooth and cool to the touch. Matte, considered, timeless. Made from 300 TC mercerised cotton, which strengthens the fibres and improves their absorbency. It becomes softer with every wash.
Toile de MyAlpaca sateen is an entirely different experience — silky, with a gentle sheen, warmer and more enveloping. The satin weave creates a smooth surface that feels effortless against skin and hair. And then there is the pattern — Toile de MyAlpaca, designed for us by Swedish artist Bärbel Dressler, inspired by the eighteenth-century tradition of Toile de Jouy, with alpacas woven into a pastoral landscape.
Both collections feature inner ties inside the duvet cover that fasten to the loops sewn into the border of MyAlpaca duvets — the corners stay exactly where they should.
